FAA Airport Facility Directory (AFD) Changes - 17 December 2009

The Airport View Airport Directory is based on an FAA database. The source of the database is the Facility Aeronautical Data Distribution System (FADDS) as provided by the National Flight Data Center, a division of the FAA.

The FADDS database is updated every 8 weeks. Each update has an effective date. At 0901 UTC on the effective date, the Airport View database switches to the new data set. The updates are distributed approximately two weeks before the effective date. Consequently, we can provide advance notice of the pending changes.

NOTE:  Links are active or not depending on the current date. For example, airports dropped from the database have active links only before the effective date. After the effective date, only listed airports have active links.
